Former FBI Director James Comey, whose Amazon and New York Times best-selling book releases tomorrow, opens the Purdue University Northwest Sinai Forum speakers series at 4 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa in Michigan City, Indiana.
Appointed to the post of director by President Barack Obama in 2013, Comey led the FBI until being dismissed by President Donald Trump in 2017. His speech, “The Ethical Leader,” details his experience in public service.
Hosting prominent speakers has been the cornerstone of PNW Sinai Forum’s renowned history, entering its 65th season this fall. Executive Director Leslie Plesac said the forum provides audiences a unique opportunity to hear noted speakers in a town-hall style format.
Urschel Laboratories, Inc., the global leader in food cutting technology based in Chesterton, Indiana, is sponsoring the program featuring Comey.
As an employee-owned company, Urschel Laboratories’ CEO Rick Urschel says they share the forum’s vision of bringing together a diverse and interesting array of speakers in an intimate setting.
“Regardless of political affiliation, ethics is something I hold in high regard,” said Urschel. “When presented with the opportunity to bring Former Director Comey to the forum, we immediately wanted to help so people could hear him tell his story.”
“We are excited to bring James Comey and are most grateful for the generosity of Urschel Laboratories to make it possible,” said Plesac.
This year’s PNW Sinai Forum season will host five speakers from September through December, leading off with Comey. The remaining four speakers for the 2018 season will be announced late May and season series tickets go on sale in early June.
Tickets are sold as a season series for all programs. A limited number of single program tickets will be offered only for Comey.
Regular season series tickets with general seating for all five programs are $150 each. Patron season series tickets, including reserved seating and an exclusive reception with speakers before each program, are $275 each. Single program tickets for Comey are $100 each.
