The La Porte County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department ERT Team executed a search warrant last Friday at a residence located on the 300 block of State Street in the city of La Porte. The LCDTF began an investigation into this residence, after numerous citizen complaints about suspected narcotics activity occurring at this residence. Evidence was presented to La Porte Circuit Court, through The La Porte County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, that resulted in the issuance of a search warrant for the residence.
The below 7 individuals were arrested, at the residence:
49 year old Jody L. Roberts of La Porte charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance
50 year old Randall E. Wanmer of La Porte charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance 30 year old Matthew W. Olson of La Porte charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance
52 year old James M. Mrozinski of La Porte, was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance 43 year old April L. Moss of La Porte, was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance
25 year old Wade A. Fletcher of La Porte, was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance
27 year old Zachary D. Roberts of La Porte was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance, and Providing a False Identity Statement
Mr. Roberts was also wanted on 5 outstanding warrants through The La Porte City Police Department, for Battery, Theft, and Criminal Recklessness
The LCDTF recovered drug paraphernalia during the execution of the search warrant. The LCDTF was assisted in this investigation by The La Porte County ERT Team, La Porte City Police Department/Afternoon Patrol Shift, and The La Porte County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The LCDTF encourages citizens to report suspected drug activity within their neighborhoods, via social media or the crime tip hotline which is 873-1488.
