The League of Women Voters LaPorte County will present the city of LaPorte’s Mayor Mark Krentz as their speaker for the July 10 Dinner with the League. Mayor Krentz was elected Mayor in August, 2017, after Mayor Blair Milo accepted a position in Governor Eric Holcomb’s cabinet. Mayor Krentz’s previous experiences include being a member of LaPorte’s Board of Public Works and Safety, director of La Porte Savings Bank, and C.E.O. of Thanhardt-Burger Corporation, among a host of other civic activities. He will begin the evening with an opening statement, and looks forward to a question and answer dialogue with attendees. Major accomplishments have already occurred in his first year in terms of local businesses’ successes and innovations, city revitalization projects, and public works improvements. Please join the LWV for this informative program on Tuesday, July 10, at Patrick’s Grille, 4125 Franklin Street, Michigan City, Indiana. The general public is invited and reservations are not required. For non-members, a donation is requested. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 and may purchase a dinner of their choice from the menu; the presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Lunch/Dinner With The League presents timely and relevant discussions about local issues every 2nd Tuesday of the month at Patrick’s Grille.
