The public is invited to attend an open house and guided hikes at Lydick Bog Nature Preserve near South Bend, on Friday, September 14th from 9:30am to noon EASTERN. A program will begin at 10am which will include an update on plans to improve public access amenities at the 176-acre preserve, which contains one of the last remaining bog habitats in Indiana. Lydick Bog Nature Preserve is not yet open to the public, so this event is an opportunity to see it on the guided hikes, which will follow the program. Light refreshments will be provided. The entrance to the preserve is located at 25898 US 20, South Bend, Indiana. Look for event signs on the south side of the road.
