A recent gun drive provided a straightforward, efficient, and easy way to dispose of unwanted and unused guns that will be DESTROYED not allowing collected guns to re-enter circulation. The Michigan City Police Department took in a total of 145 GUNS over a two-day period. After using sponsored funds by Horizon Bank and our Community Outreach Donation Fund to supplement Day #2 the drive ended after three hours. The drive was highly successful, and the Buyback did remove a number of guns from circulation, as guns that are not wanted or are not properly stored can easily fall into the hands of criminals.
