Gov. Eric J. Holcomb is participating in the 2019 SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, D.C. SelectUSA is a U.S. Department of Commerce program dedicated to facilitating job-creating business investment into the United States. At its sixth annual summit, SelectUSA will convene global executives and business leaders to discuss opportunities in key sectors — including advanced manufacturing, information technology, aviation and infrastructure — as well as critical topics like tax and regulatory reform, workforce development, economic diversification, and innovation and venture capital.
While there, he will participate in meetings with business executives and government leaders. Today, the Governor will participate in a panel highlighting Indiana’s global economy, advanced manufacturing sector and Next Level Jobs workforce initiative. Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger and Indiana Economic Development Corporation President Elaine Bedel will also attend SelectUSA.
The 2018 Investment Summit, which the Governor also attended, drew more than 3,000 participants representing 66 international markets and 51 U.S. states and territories.
