The Michigan City Police Kiddie Parade will be taking place on Saturday June 22nd. This year’s theme is “Candyland” so MCPD is urging participants up to age 12 to dress as their favorite candy or a candy theme entry. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded. A host of celebrity judges will present. After the parade ice cream will be served to all participants. Registration begins at 1pm at Healthlinc located at 7th & Franklin St. Treat bags will be given to all participants. Judging will be at 1:15 pm through 1:45 pm. The parade begins at 2pm and runs north on Franklin to 4th St. at the library. Franklin St. will be closed to traffic. Participants are asked to park in the LaPorte County Courthouse Parking Lot and at the Horizon Bank Parking Lot located at 5th & Pine St. More information including costume judging categories can be found on the Michigan City Police Facebook page on the flyer that has been posted.
