Detective Gabe Struss recently conducted four (4) separate investigations of subjects who were determined to be non-compliant on the Sex and Violent Offender Registry. As a result, criminal arrests warrants were issued for Arthur E. NEWKIRK Sr., Matthew A. WUNDER, Robert D. RAYMOND and Harry E. WILSON for the offense of Failure to Register as a Sex or Violent Offender, a Level 6 Felony.Midnight Patrol Shift Deputies overnight conducted Operation Santa Sweep. Deputies rounded up and arrested NEWKIRK, WUNDER, RAYMOND and WILSON.At approximately 2:44 AM, NEWKIRK (74 YOA) of Rolling Prairie, was arrested and transported to the La Porte County Jail (LCJ). He was booked into the Jail and was released after posting bond.At approximately 3:45 AM, WUNDER (42 YOA) of La Porte, was arrested and transported to the LCJ. He was booked into the Jail and was released after posting bond.At approximately 4:15 AM, RAYMOND (35 YOA) of Michigan City, was arrested and transported to the LCJ. He remains housed in the Jail and is being held on a $755 cash-only bond through La Porte County Circuit Court.At approximately 5:20 AM, WILSON (50 YOA) of Michigan City, was arrested and transported to the LCJ. He remains housed in the Jail and is being held on a $755 cash-only bond through La Porte County Circuit Court.All four subjects have previously been convicted of crimes which require them to remain compliant on the Sex and Violent Offender Registry.Arrests and criminal charges are mere accusations. Every person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.”
