Congratulations to the Portage Indians on their Championship win in Florida. We are so proud of you. Thank you Derrick Wayne Arnett, coaches, crew, families and all of this along the way that made this team effort possible.
“These 21 boys from Northern Indiana got together back in August. When they got together they set a goal to dominate their season and get to Florida and beat the best in the country. Well well well… They started out the pre season with dominating wins over Missouri, Central Indiana, and Ohio. They continued through the regular season dominating every team in Northern Indiana. After capturing the Indiana State Championship they went on and dominated Michigan in the Regional Championship. Then came our trip to Florida where everyone knows what type of competition comes when you play Florida teams. These 21 region boys came down here and absolutely put it on two of the best teams in the country. Everyone please help me congratulate these 21 boys on their Championship. These boys and their families are a special group and I’m so lucky to have them in my life. Lastly and absolutely not least we owe everything to our Portage board, Northern Indiana, and Mid America.
