The Portage Fire Department announced that on Tuesday K9 Bosco passed away. He served 13 years with the Portage Fire Department. PFD said that Bosco has been involved in every type of fire you could imagine from small car fires to murders. Bosco has worked cases that have resulted in numerous felony convictions, including murder and attempted murder. The department also said there have also been many cases that resulted in plea deals and lesser charges, and multiple cases still working their way through the court system. Bosco was also able to teach 100’s of school kids about fire and dog safety according to the department.

PFD thanked Lt. Jeremy Himan for his years of dedication with keeping up on training, recertifications, and maintaining Bosco.
