Michigan City Chamber of Commerce President Katie Eaton has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for the Indiana Chamber Executives Association (ICEA), the statewide organization serving the professional development needs of local chamber of commerce staff leaders across Indiana.

“We are thrilled to add Katie to the leadership team,” said ICEA President Shelli Williams.  “She is passionate about this profession and will be a great mentor to peers across the state.  Her mission-driven professional thought process will be a great asset to advancing the organization.”

ICEA’s purpose is to establish a strong network of professionals leading local chambers of commerce in Indiana. From valuable benchmarking resources to sample templates and peer mentors, ICEA members are part of a network that will support the growth and development of each staff member at the local chamber.

Eaton was nominated based on her successes leading the Michigan City Chamber as well as the professional resources that she brings to the team.  She is a graduate of the Hoosier Chamber Academy and is currently enrolled in the U.S. Chamber Institute for Organization Management professional program. “It is an honor to be selected by my peers to serve on the ICEA board,” stated Eaton.

The ICEA Board is comprised of 12 leaders from across the state representing the following communities:  Valparaiso; Kosciusko County; Michigan City; Goshen; Plainfield; Carmel/Fishers; Spencer County; Terre Haute; the Evansville Region; Linton-Stockton; Batesville; and the Indiana Chamber.
