The Town of Chesterton is reminding the public that Monday, Jan. 16—Martin Luther King Jr. Day—is a municipal holiday in the town and all government offices will be closed.
The municipal holiday will not affect Monday’s regularly scheduled garbage collection.
Government offices will re-open for business as usual at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.
