Enjoy the early glory days of jam bands with the music of two of classic rock’s best — SANTANA and THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND — as Lounges Entertainment presents and WIMS-AM/FM Radio welcomes a late 1960s/early 1970s “Throw Back Night” with two incredible tribute groups — SOUNDZ OF SANTANA and THE ALL MY BROTHERS BAND — covering decades of hits and deep cuts.

Tribute bands are time machines back to a time older fans remember as providing the soundtrack of our lives; and younger fans were not yet alive to witness. They take us back to an era when music was vibrant and exciting. Santana and The Allman Brothers Band were two of the greatest and most influential bands in an era of giants.

Tom Lounges Entertainment and WIMS Radio invites you travel back with them to the seminal days of “jam” based rock with the music of two bands who along with the Grateful Dead opened the flood gates for all the jam bands and the jam band culture that followed through the decades.

The soothing and sizzling music of the legendary Carlos Santana and his self-named group who became instant sensations after making their debut at Woodstock in 1970, will be interpreted and performed this night by SOUNDZ OF SANTANA, featuring founding guitarist and vocalist DAVID SANCHEZ.

The Southern-fried blues-rock of The Allman Brothers Band, originated in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969, soon to find a home base in Macon, Georgia. The Allman Brothers Band, under the leadership of Duane and Gregg Allman, spearheaded the Southern Rock movement of the 1970s.

The energy and ferocity of their musical legacy will be be faithfully recreated when performed by the ALL MY BROTHERS BAND, who after headlining at top theaters and festivals throughout the Midwest, will be making their Northwest Indiana debut on this evening.

The evening will be emceed by WIMS-AM/FM radio personality Tom Lounges, producer and host of the “NEEDLE DROP” program. A free drawing for cool prizes — provided by Tom Lounges Record Bin — will be held during the break between bands.
