The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce (chamber) announced Johnny Roder as the Ambassador of the Quarter for the Third Quarter of 2023. “It’s an honor to be named ambassador of the quarter! Being able to volunteer in the community and network with business owners in Michigan City and Northwest Indiana has been amazing,” stated Roder. “It goes without saying that working with the other ambassadors is something I do not take for granted. Everyone has the same mindset of being a helping hand to the community and connecting individuals to the right businesses. I have thoroughly enjoyed being an ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and I look forward to helping future members.” The Ambassador of the Quarter is given to an individual who has shown dedication to the mission of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce by regularly attending chamber events, connecting with members through emails, calls, and in-person meetings, and referring non-members for membership.
As an Ambassador, Roder helps to promote the role of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce in the community by welcoming new members, encouraging current members to maximize their membership, and aid in maintaining and increasing the retention rate of new and existing members by reinforcing the Chamber benefits. “I am excited to have Johnny as an Ambassador! stated Membership Director and staff liaison to the Ambassador Committee, Danny Hogan. “As one of our newest Ambassadors, Johnny has gone above and beyond interacting with current members, stepping up to volunteer in the community, and making our new members feel welcome.”
Outside of the Chamber, Johny works as an Account Executive for Duneland Media, a role he has had since June of 2023. He is a recent graduate of John Carroll University and Marquette Catholic High School. When not working, Johnny is an avid golfer and loves to play guitar.
