The Duneland Chamber of Commerce announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Velvet Tiki Lounge will take place on Friday, May 31st at 4:30 p.m. at 791 Indian Boundary Road in Chesterton.
“Velvet Tiki Lounge offers a unique twist on the traditional Tiki bar experience, drawing inspiration from the small Pacific Island of Devileese,” the Duneland Chamber said in a press release. “Guests can indulge in a variety of Tiki drinks with an Irish twist, as well as Devileese Bites that blend island and Irish flavors.”
Owner Misty Banzen shared her excitement about the new venture, stating, “A Devileese proverb says ‘If you face the sun all the shadows will fall behind you.’ That’s what we want to be. We are excited to bring the happy back, and bring back all the good things that have slowly disappeared over the years.”
