NIPSCO’S 12th ANNUAL HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS CAMPAIGN LIGHTS UP SEASON OF GIVING MERRILLVILLE, Ind. –
This holiday season, Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC
(NIPSCO) celebrates its 12th annual Hope for the Holidays campaign, uniting contributions from the NiSource Charitable Foundation, NIPSCO and NIPSCO’s employees to support community organizations serving northern Indiana. This year, with generous grant support from the NiSource Charitable Foundation, NIPSCO proudly donated $110,000 to 21 organizations across NIPSCO’s service area. Additionally, employees contributed more than 650 toys to be distributed to seven local Toys for Tots chapters.
The mission of NIPSCO’s annual Hope for the Holidays campaign is to spread hope and kindness to those in need throughout northern Indiana. The employee-led campaign has become a beloved tradition and serves as a testament to the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
“What makes Hope for the Holidays particularly heartwarming is the generosity of our employees, who enthusiastically work together to donate toys, ensuring our underserved neighbors can experience the magic of the holidays,” said Vince Parisi, NIPSCO President and Chief Operating Officer.
Donations from the Hope for the Holidays campaign were presented to a diverse range of organizations, including women’s and children’s homes, homeless shelters, food pantries and Salvation Army chapters, playing a crucial role in helping them meet the needs of their clients. Through these contributions, the organizations were able to provide essential support in various ways, such as distributing coats and winter garments, offering holiday dinners, supplying toiletries and operating winter warming centers for those in need.
