The Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department announced a new fence has been installed to block the basketball court from the street at Water Tower Park.
Right after the playground was completed, the department said they knew this was a priority to ensure the safety of everyone enjoying the park—especially young hoopers.
The department said the new fencing creates a safer, more enjoyable space for play and relaxation.
