The Duneland Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications from community organizations and local businesses interested in marching through Downtown Chesterton in the annual Twilight Holiday Parade, on Saturday, Nov. 29, the Town of Chesterton announced on Facebook.
The Town of Chesterton gave the following information:
All are welcome to participate in this beloved holiday tradition!
INFORMATION
*Lineup at 4 p.m. Step-off at 5:15 p.m.
*Battery-operated lights are encouraged for both marchers and vehicles.
*The parade lineup is currently being finalized with the Town of Chesterton. Detailed lineup instructions will be provided once confirmed.
*The parade route: North onto Sixth Street from the old Chesterton Middle (High) School, east on Broadway, south on South Calumet Road, west on West Porter Ave, then back to CM(H)S.
*Chamber staff will be at lineup to help coordinate and direct the order of parade entries.
*A strictly enforced limit of two vehicles or 65 feet, whichever is less. Space is limited due to construction and safety is of the upmost importance!
*As always, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus riding atop the CFD ladder truck will conclude the parade, so PLEASE REFRAIN FROM FEATURING SANTA OR HIS BETTER HALF ON YOUR OWN FLOAT! Thank you for your cooperation in making this a great event for our community!
*Deadline for parade applications: Thursday, Nov. 13.
