Guests will follow clues, unravel riddles, and uncover the secrets hidden within the mansion’s walls.

The Gilded Page Book Club: The Age of Innocence

Welcome to the extravagance and upheaval of America’s Gilded Age. Join the Barker Mansion’s three-part literary series, this month featuring Edith Wharton’s Pulitzer Prize–winning novel, The Age of Innocence. Hosted by Craig Golbesky, creator of the hit Agatha Christie and Whiskey series, the evening includes whiskey tastings from Journeyman Distillery. The Barker Creepy Cottage Halloween Party

The Barker Cottage transforms into the Creepy Cottage, perfect for young children and families. Costumes are encouraged, and Halloween spirit is a must! Activities include: Storytime with Sandy Witch, Monster Mash dance party, spooky craft making and Trick or Treat surprises!

Mansion After Hours: Gothic Tales in the Gloaming

Step into the shadows of the Barker Mansion for a chilling evening of dramatic readings spanning 200 years of Gothic literature. Presenter Grant Fitch brings to life the haunting paranoia of The Tell-Tale Heart, the eerie twist of The Monkey’s Paw, and other works by masters such as Poe, Lovecraft and Hitchcock. A spine-tingling evening not for the faint of heart.
