Duneland elementary school counselors successfully completed Indiana’s Comprehensive School Counseling Initiative—dubbed “Carrying the Torch to Student Success”—at the highest level possible: Gold Star, the Town of Chesterton announced on Facebook.
The following elementary school counselors will be recognized for this achievement at the November conference of Indiana School Counselors:
*Heather Kellogg, Bailly.
*Lindsay Moskalick, Brummitt.
*Michelle Bruss, Jackson.
*Lindsay Stainko, Liberty.
*Sue Harmison, Yost.
According to the Town of Chesterton, Indiana is now one of six states in the nation to earn reciprocity with the American School Counselor Association’s RAMP program for its new Carrying the Torch to Student Success Comprehensive School Counseling Initiative.
“Schools successfully completing Gold Level programming will also earn RAMP certification, formerly known as Gold Star, a designation which all Duneland Schools have previously completed,” the Town of Chesterton said. “CHS was recognized for the same achievement in 2024 and our intermediate and middle schools are on track to receive similar recognition when their work is complete.”
