Valparaiso, Ind. — Shirley Heinze Land Trust has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the
Porter County Community Foundation to support technology upgrades, including new
computers and improved connectivity. These enhancements will strengthen operations,
increase efficiency, and allow staff and interns to dedicate more time to conservation
projects, community engagement, and the Student Experiences in Conservation program.
“Reliable technology plays an important role in how our team works together and supports
our mission,” said Bridget Harrison, Deputy Director of Shirley Heinze Land Trust. “This
grant allows us to better equip our staff and interns while keeping our attention on
conserving natural spaces and engaging the community.”
With these upgrades in place, Shirley Heinze Land Trust can dedicate more time and
resources to preserving land, strengthening community engagement, and expanding
programs that create a lasting impact in northwestern Indiana
