The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement earlier this week that citizens are again being targeted by scammers purporting to be either current or retired employees of the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office.
“All UNEXPECTED telephone calls from anyone claiming to be affiliated with the agency should immediately be terminated,” the LCSO said.
