Franciscan Physician Network adds board-certified internal medicine, weight management physician in Munster
MUNSTER, Ind. – Board-certified internal medicine and weight management physician Leonid Kats, MD, is now part of the Franciscan Physician Network and is accepting new patients in Munster.
Dr. Kats earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Rutgers University Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, N.J. and he completed his residency in obesity medicine at Columbia-Cornell in New York.
His clinical interests include effective, evidence-based care; general internal medicine, high blood pressure, diabetes and other chronic conditions, as well as weight management to prevent, treat and reverse chronic conditions.
In addition to English, Dr. Kats is also fluent in Spanish and Russian.
Dr. Kats is accepting new patients for in-person visits at the Franciscan Physician Network Hammond Clinic, 7905 Calumet Ave. in Munster. Virtual visits are also available.
