On March 31st at 12:12 AM, the LaPorte County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 regarding a person who was stabbed during a domestic dispute while inside a residence within the 500 block of Pearl Street. Officers from Uniform Patrol Shift 3 responded to the scene and located an adult male suffering from serious bodily injuries. Responding officers provided life saving measures to the victim before they were transported to Franciscan Health Hospital in Michigan City by LaPorte County EMS for medical treatment.
Officers located the suspect who was identified as 38-year-old Michigan City resident Nicole Williams. Williams was arrested for Aggravated Battery (Level 3 Felony) and Domestic Battery-With a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony). A search warrant was executed at the residence by officers from Uniform Patrol Shift 3 and the Evidence Response Unit. Multiple articles of evidence were collected by investigators.
A probable cause affidavit has been submitted to the LaPorte County Prosecutor’s Office who will conduct a probable cause review and file criminal charges.
