If you have attended a concert in Chicago, Bobby Talamine was probably there. Talamine has been photographing concerts for more than 40 years and has released his first photography book, “Femmes at Full Volume,” with Offshoot, an imprint of Trellis Press.

“Femmes at Full Volume” features artists, both women and female-presenting, who have shaped and/or are shaping the music landscape. “I want everyone to see the raw energy of a live concert – the emotion of artists, the connection with the crowd and the intense experiences that take place at a live show,” Talamine said.

Bobby Talamine has been photographing concerts throughout Chicago and beyond for more than 40 years, capturing significant moments in music history. His portfolio features legendary acts such as Patti Smith, Lady Gaga, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, Sade, Madonna, The Cure, Black Sabbath, Roxy Music, Kiss and Van Halen. His work has appeared in the Chicago Reader, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, New York Times, Rolling Stone, B-Side Magazine, The Big Takeover, Alternative Press, major TV news stations across the country and international music media outlets.
