The Valparaiso Police Department and Valparaiso University are partnering to provide a preparation course for potential law enforcement candidates. The course will help candidates better prepare themselves for the hiring and testing process to begin a career in law enforcement. The course will assist applicants to better prepare them for the physical agility test, written test, interview process and general information about the hiring process for the majority of law enforcement agencies. Instructors from both Valparaiso University and Valparaiso Police Department will conduct the training. The course is available to all and any law enforcement potential applicants (not just for the Valparaiso Police Department). The course will be held at Valparaiso University, one class a week, for five weeks, beginning on Wednesday, September 5th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. (on Wednesday nights). The total registration fee for the course is $290 (registration fee $250/ $40 course materials). This includes a study guide and two online written practice tests. A limited number of scholarships are available, which will be awarded based on financial need through Valparaiso University.
