A new traffic law will take effect July 1, 2020 that prohibits the operator of a motor vehicle from holding or operating a cellular phone or a similar electronic device while the vehicle is in motion.
Exceptions:
– Devices may be used with hands free or voice operated technology.
– Devices may be used or held to call 911 to report an emergency.
