Wednesday afternoon, Mayor of La Porte Tom Dermody along with Director of Code Jeff Batchelor announced in a Facebook live video that over 25 abandoned vehicles have been removed from an abandoned property at corner of Brighton Street and Heinz Street.
There were about 50 abandoned cars in total according to Batchelor.
As of Wednesday about 20 more vehicles were still needed to be removed.
