The Lake County Sheriff’s Office recovered an unoccupied boat Monday morning.
Sometime after 10:30 a.m., officers with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department Aviation Unit spotted a capsized catamaran in Lake Michigan near East Chicago.
It was located about 2 miles offshore. There was no sign of any passengers. Members of the Lake County Marine Unit towed the vessel to the East Chicago Marina.
