The City of Michigan City has announced that in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, City Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15.
Trash collection will resume on Tuesday and run through Saturday, postponing normal pick-up throughout the city by one day for the week of Jan. 16-20.
