Police respond to possible drowning in Michigan City (ongoing)

According the Michigan City Police Department FACEBOOK page. Police responded to a possible drowning on Monday. At approximately 5:38 pm, officers responded to Washington Park beach regarding a possible drowning. Bystanders observed a child wearing red shorts enter the water on the east side of the catwalk and just south of the lighthouse. Police say the child disappeared under the water and officers are currently out searching for them. Police say this is an ongoing incident.
