With the leaves falling from the trees and sleet and snow just around the corner, LaPorte area residents can breathe a small sigh of relief today. That’s because LaPorte Mayor Tom Dermody and construction company F.H. Paschen declared the half-way point on the U.S. 35 Pavement Replacement and Outfall Utilities Project that stretches from Boyd Boulevard to S.R. 2 in the City of La Porte and LaPorte County.
