According to Save the Dunes, IDEM said Friday morning that the US Steel incident is under investigation by both IDEM and the EPA to determine the cause as well as corrective actions needed to prevent future discharges.
IDEM has set up a web page with updates on their response, including an option to sign up for a notification as soon as more information is posted.
