Chesterton Fire Department’s C- crew were heroes after they saved a kitten from a storm drain recently.
A resident in the area of Pinehurst Avenue and Quicksilver Drive heard the cries of a kitten coming from a storm drain.
Fire department personnel were able to climb into the storm drain and rescue the kitten.
The CFD said on their Facebook Friday that the concerned resident is taking care of the kitten.
