The Michigan City Police Department Family announced that Officer Shane Motshagen has officially graduated from the Northwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (NILEA).
Officer Motshagen distinguished himself by earning the Academic Excellence Award for achieving the highest overall score in his class.
He also earned top marks on the Criminal Law test, leading his class in that area as well.
