The City of Valparaiso announced on Friday that Silhavy Road is now open for traffic.
The city said that while the weather prolonged the railroad project, the extended closure helped to speed up the resurfacing work.
Final paving and surface markings will take place over the next weeks, with the roadway remaining open for traffic.
