The Mayor’s Office of Michigan City said on Thursday that “A call for support from the Mayor’s Office on social media regarding the rumored closure of DAV Chapter 23 resulted in a meeting with state DAV officials at the site this morning. We asked them to issue a press release outlining the facts surrounding their presence here in Michigan City in order to combat the rumors and speculation circulating online.”
