The La Porte City Police Department conducted 79.5 hours of Seat Belt Enforcement patrols from April 1 through April 15. Focus was on the use of Seat Belts and Child Restraint violations.During their patrols, officers wrote at total of 90 citations, 116 warnings and had four arrests.  The citations include 74 for Seatbelt violations, six Other Violations, 6 Driving While Suspended citations, and 4 Speeding violations.
