Driver of stolen vehicle leads officers on pursuit through Lake, Porter County
The driver of a stolen vehicle led police on a pursuit through multiple counties in northwest Indiana, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Shortly before noon Tuesday a police officer with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department received an alert about a possibly stolen vehicle on their License Plate Reader Network. The vehicle was eastbound on the Borman Expressway. After locating the vehicle, the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled, resulting in a high-speed pursuit.
