Due to the water main break, the Ogden Dunes Water Department has issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory. This advisory went into effect at 1:52 p.m. Thursday and is expected to remain in effect for approximately 48 hours. One person was shot and two people were arrested after a shooting in La Porte, according to the La Porte Police Department. On Wednesday at about 1:10 a.m., officers from the City of La Porte Police Department were dispatched to the Maple Tree Apartments, located at 1405 West 18th Street, in reference to a report of a man who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was provided immediate medical aid by first responders and transported to an area hospital for treatment. A truck driver is dead after a single vehicle crash Monday afternoon on I-80/94 in Lake Station, according to the Indiana State Police. At around 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, Indiana State Police troopers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash eastbound on I-80/94 at the 13 mile-marker. This location is about one mile east of the I-65 interchange. The Michigan City High School (MCHS) Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC) Raider Team competed at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis on Saturday, October 11.
