Pamela Anderson never had children of her own, so when she unexpectedly found herself caring for her husband’s six-week-old granddaughter, she wasn’t sure where to begin. The 57-year-old Cedar Lake woman said she was overwhelmed and wasn’t sure where to turn for help. On March 31st at 12:12 AM, the LaPorte County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 regarding a person who was stabbed during a domestic dispute while inside a residence within the 500 block of Pearl Street. Officers from Uniform Patrol Shift 3 responded to the scene and located an adult male suffering from serious bodily injuries. Responding officers provided life saving measures to the victim before they were transported to Franciscan Health Hospital in Michigan City by LaPorte County EMS for medical treatment. The Michigan City Police released the following update with a cause of death revealed to a recent death investigation: On March 27th at approximately 9:48 AM, the LaPorte County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding an unconscious person found outside of Temple Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2725 Wabash Street. Officers from Uniform Patrol Shift 1 responded to the scene and located 57-year-old Michigan City resident Erik Johnson lying on the ground unconscious. The City of La Porte announced the Dumpster Program has returned for its fifth season.
