IU Northwest nursing graduates post 100 percent pass rate on national certification exam

One of only 10 nursing programs statewide to record a perfect pass rate Gary, Ind. -- The Indiana State Board of Nursing has announced that all 58 members of the Indiana University Northwest Bachelor of Science in Nursing Class of 2019 (December) and Class of 2020 (May) have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) on their first attempt. US 35 bridge to be closed in The City of La Porte

The Indiana Department of Transportation: Northwest announces a road closure for U.S. 35 between State Road 2 and Washington St beginning Monday, February 15.The overpass will be closed for approximately two days while NIPSCO upgrades the wires above the highway. The bridge is expected to reopen after 5pm on Tuesday, February 16.Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow State Road 2, U.S. 20, and U.S. 35.

Hoosiers Have Opportunity to Purchase Health Insurance During Special Enrollment Period

The Indiana Department of Insurance wants Hoosiers to know they have another opportunity to enroll in health insurance on the Federal Affordable Care Act Exchanges (HealthCare.gov) if they missed enrolling in the fall. On February 6, 2021, at 4:58 AM, Deputy Austin Wells was in the area of US 35 and Jefferson Avenue. He observed a male subject standing next to a snow-covered parked vehicle. When the subject observed Deputy Wells, he quickly looked away and began walking away from the parked car. Officers from Uniform Patrol Shift 3 responded to two shootings within a n hour time frame during the evening hours o f February 5th , 2021. Applications are available for the Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO) program, which is designed to assist traditionally underrepresented groups in pursuing a legal career. Update on the Holstein Calves that left their home

On Saturday, a herd of Holstein calves left their home near the area of US 35 and CR 500 South for an adventure. A short time later, an off-duty deputy spotted the high-energy group running southbound in the northbound lanes of US 35. The herd quickly made it to US 6 where they continued eastbound on their journey. Contact was quickly established with the owners as other deputies converged on the area. A small group of the calves were corralled into a fenced area near US 6 and CR 700 South, while a large group continued eastbound on US 6
