On June 22, 2025, at approximately 8:44pm, Officers working in Washington Park reported that multiple gunshots were being fired near the North end of the parking lot. Additional Officers from Uniform Patrol Shift II responded to the park to assist them. The Officers conducted witness interviews and collected evidence. The initial investigation determined that 23 year old Michigan City resident, Keyshaun Stalling, was struck by gunfire following an argument. His injury is not life threatening. PORTER COUNTY, Ind. - An Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Enneking Pressure Cleaning will close U.S. 6 between Mander Road and County Road 350 East on or after Monday, June 23. U.S. 6 will be closed for approximately one week for a bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance project over CSX Railroad. Motorists should seek alternate routes. Michigan City police rescued a victim and arrested a man who they say was an armed felon after an incident Wednesday night, according to the Michigan City Police Department. Four people were arrested after a shooting investigation, according to the Michigan City Police Department. On June 10, Michigan City police officers responded to a “shots fired” complaint at the 200 block of Loran Road in Michigan City. When officers arrived, they discovered that a dispute between two individuals had escalated into gunfire, with the suspect firing multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle in broad daylight.
