MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Franciscan Alliance CEO Kevin Leahy is stepping down from his position effective Dec. 31, the nonprofit Catholic healthcare ministry announced. After stepping down as CEO, he will assist in the leadership transition by serving as an internal consultant until the end of 2027, when he will retire after 48 years with the organization. The City of Michigan City’s 2026 Roadway Improvement Program began this week, bringing roadway resurfacing, reconstruction, sidewalk repairs, and ADA curb ramp improvements to several neighborhoods throughout the city. The City of Michigan City announced on Facebook that construction will occur in phases, with each roadway segment expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. Local access will be maintained whenever possible, but residents should expect temporary traffic restrictions, parking limitations, and occasional service disruptions as work progresses. As financial exploitation reaches record highs, state and provincial securities regulators are reaffirming their commitment to protecting senior investors from increasingly sophisticated threats. In Lake County, the ramp from southbound State Road 152/Indianapolis Boulevard to eastbound I-80/94 is scheduled to close beginning at midnight on Monday, June 22 and reopen by midnight on Thursday, July 2. A signed detour will direct drivers east on U.S. 20/Michigan Avenue to southbound State Road 912/Cline Avenue, providing access to eastbound I-80/94.During the closure, crews will complete drainage improvements.
