Franciscan Health breaks ground on Valparaiso medical office building

Franciscan Health broke ground Tuesday for a new medical office building with a blessing by The Most Rev. Robert McClory, bishop of the Diocese of Gary. The two-story, 82,881-square-foot building is being built by Tonn and Blank Construction at 3400 Mariposa Drive at the southeast corner of State Roads 2 and 49. It will house an ExpressCare, primary care and specialty physician offices, diagnostic imaging, CT, MRI, ultrasound and laboratory services. The new medical office building construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2026.

I-94 to have overnight lane closures

LAKE & PORTER COUNTIES, Ind. - There will be lane shifts and overnight lane closures on I-94 between I-65 and State Road 149 for pavement patching beginning on or after tonight Tuesday, Nov. 5. Work will be conducted in two phases, and I-94 will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the overnight hours of approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while pavement patching occurs. Franciscan Health Michigan City offering Produce Prescription Program in November

MICHIGAN CITY, Indiana – Franciscan Health is teaming up with the Indiana State Department of Health and the Northern Indiana Food Bank to offer the Produce Prescription Program, aimed at assisting with chronic disease management. I-94 to have overnight lane closures

PORTER & LA PORTE COUNTIES, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors North Inc will have overnight lane closures on I-94 between mile marker 31 to 36 (east and west of the U.S. 421 exit) beginning on or after Sunday, October 27. Unity Foundation of La Porte County is pleased to recognize 10 local high school seniors as La Porte County finalists for the prestigious Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. Franciscan Health is offering free scans during the week of Nov. 4 in honor of Lung Cancer Awareness Month at locations in Dyer and Munster, thanks in part to generous grants from the Indiana Cancer Coalition and the Indiana Immunization Coalition.
